SBO Customer Service Representative Shift:
Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:
30pm
Experience:
Customer Service Responsible for all inbound customer inquiries.
Address all presented issues with a potential resolution within one business day.
Escalate customer concerns to the appropriate party if resolution is not obtained.
Route customer concerns to the appropriate area for resolution within the Epic Systems utilizing Account Activity functionality.
Departments may include but are not limited to:
Accounts Receivable, Billing, Payment Processing, Risk Management, Health Information Management, Patient Credits, and Patient Advocacy.
Redirect any Release of Information (ROI) requests via Account Activity codes in Epic Systems, including attorney letters, subpoena, or self-requested medical records to Health Information Management (HIM) for processing.
Utilize the Estimator tool within Epic Systems to provide customers price estimates upon request.
Must include scripted disclaimer upon issuance to prospective customer.
Self-Pay Collections Conduct outbound phone calls to customers regarding owed patient balances.
Calls are conducted in a professional, customer-friendly manner by utilizing provided scripts.
Initiate the Financial Assistance application process via the Epic Financial Assistance module.
Utilize work queues to track the status of pending applications to ensure each application is reviewed and processed.
Monitor statement generation success and mitigate issues preventing accounts qualifying for a run.
Aid in the reconciliation process with respective vendors; including but not limited to bad debt placements, monthly invoicing from vendors.
Education:
1.
One to two years in customer service, healthcare billing experience and/or accounts receivable experience.
2.
Experience with automated patient accounting systems preferred.
Licensures/Certifications:
1.
Certified Revenue Cycle Specialist (CRCS)/American Association of Healthcare Administrative Management (AAHAM), or Certified Revenue Cycle Representative (CRCR)/Healthcare Financial Management Association desirable.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
