Director - Supply
Commercial negotiator in multiple markets with refined fuel supply and distribution expertise.
Embraces accountability for procuring lowest cost products Develops, recommends, and implements short and long-term fuel supply and marketing support strategy within area of expertise or defined geographical areas Negotiates complex contracts and large volume term deals, including exchanges and rack purchases spanning the United States Evaluates regional and global supply/demand balances that affect commercial strategy Serves on formal and impromptu cross-functional teams Directs multi-functional studies and participates in setting the strategic plan Analyzes and generates process improvements for executing profitable commercial transactions Guides others on the team on a wide range of activities Primary liaison with major customers, suppliers, and an extensive network of industry contacts A key negotiator with the management of major customers to resolve difficulties or enhance opportunities Maintains and promotes teamwork between multiple organizational functions Thoroughly familiar with properties of all commodities in area of responsibility Knowledgeable in transportation economics, refinery operations, trading economics, and market intelligence to optimize product slate from alternative sources High level of understanding of commercial negotiations, trading principles, and processes Seasoned resource providing training to peers or other staff Effectively leads cross-functional strategy teams to optimize corporate return Seen and recognized by industry contacts as an exemplary Sunoco professional with proficient communication skills.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
Master's degree is preferred.
Minimum of 12
years total work experience, preferably in the petroleum fuels industry Minimum of 3 years experience in commercial sales, trading, or another assignment with outward-facing commercial positions Recommended Skills Commodity Market Communication Economy Negotiation Sales Team Working Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
